Welcome. You’re in the right place.

If you’ve been carrying stress, emotional pain, or the lingering effects of trauma, and you’re tired of talking about it over and over, you’re not alone.

This is a gentle, non-invasive approach designed to help your nervous system calm, your mind settle, and your inner world feel safer again, without reliving painful memories.

This page will guide you step by step so you know exactly what to expect and can choose what feels right for you.

Take a breath. There’s no pressure here. Just support, clarity, and a path forward.

What to Expect in Your MAP Session

What to Expect

Starting something new, especially when you’ve been through a lot, can bring up questions, uncertainty, or even nervousness.

This page is here to help you feel grounded, informed, and safe before your first session.

First, important things to know

  • You do not need to explain or relive your trauma

  • You do not need to share details you’re not comfortable sharing

  • You are always in control

  • This work is gentle, respectful, and client-led

Many people tell me they feel calmer just knowing what won’t be required.

Before we begin

At the start of your session, we’ll take a few minutes to check in.

This may include:

  • How you’re feeling today

  • Any changes or shifts since a previous session (if applicable)

  • What you’d like support with right now

Sometimes people arrive with a clear topic.
Sometimes they just know they feel stuck, overwhelmed, reactive, or unsettled.

Both are perfectly okay.

Permission & safety come first

I will always ask for your permission before working with the subconscious mind.

Nothing is done to you. We work with your system, at a pace that feels safe and respectful.

If at any point something doesn’t feel right, you let me know and then we pause or adjust.

Your nervous system leads the session.

During the session

You’ll be seated comfortably (or lying down if you prefer).

You don’t have to:

  • analyze

  • perform

  • figure anything out

  • or talk through painful memories

Instead, I guide the process while observing subtle responses from your system and following a structured MAP process designed to gently neutralize what’s creating stress or resistance.

The work may address things like:

  • emotional reactivity or overwhelm

  • feeling stuck, blocked, or shut down

  • self-doubt, fear, or internal conflict

  • old emotional patterns that no longer serve you

Trauma, in this work, can range from major life events to little everyday moments that left a lasting emotional imprint.

What you might notice

Everyone’s experience is a little different, but common responses include:

  • a sense of calm or relief

  • feeling lighter or more spacious

  • emotional neutrality around something that once felt charged

  • clarity or a quiet sense of “something has shifted”

You don’t have to feel anything dramatic for the work to be effective.

Often the most meaningful changes show up later; in how you respond, sleep, relate, or move through your day.

After the session

There’s nothing you need to “do” afterward.

Some people like to:

  • drink water

  • rest

  • notice subtle changes over the next few days

Others simply continue their day as usual.

If you’re continuing with sessions, we’ll check in next time to see what’s shifted and decide together what to focus on next.

A gentle reminder

This work is not about fixing you.
You are not broken.

MAP helps remove what’s been in the way of your natural calm, clarity, and inner steadiness, so those qualities can return on their own.

If you’re curious, open, and ready for gentle change, you’re in the right place.
