Session Types

MAP sessions can be experienced either individually or in a group.

Both options are effective, with the primary differences being how personalized the session is and how you prefer to receive support.

Group sessions offer a lower-cost option.  Just as the experience and results are shared among participants, the cost is also.

There is no “better” choice, only what feels safest, most supportive, and most aligned for you right now.

 Individual MAP Sessions

  • Fully tailored to your specific needs

  • The session is guided by your biofeedback

  • We follow what your system is ready to release or resolve

  • You never need to describe trauma details

  • Ideal if you want:

    • Personal focus

    • Deeper customization

    • One-on-one support

Individual sessions allow us to measure your needs moment by moment.

Group MAP Sessions

Topic-specific and planned in advance

Group MAP Sessions are offered via Zoom or in person at the North Whidbey Center for Wellbeing.

If we meet on zoom:

You may:

  • Keep your camera off if that feels more comfortable

  • Use a shortened or chosen name for added privacy

  • Participate quietly-speaking is always optional

  • Share any responses with me in the chat (if you’d like)

During the MAP portion, I keep participants muted so the session stays calm and focused.

In both Zoom and in person groups:

At times, I may invite simple feedback (for example, a rating).  This helps me gauge the group's overall response and guide the direction of the session.

You are never asked to explain your response.

Group sessions do not require sharing personal stories.
